Following the removal of asbestos, a clearance certificate must be obtained. The clearance certificate must be obtained from an independent person (Premier Safety & Environmental) before the areas where the asbestos removal work was being performed can be re-occupied. The independent person cannot be associated with the owner or manager of the building or workplace or the licensed asbestos removalist.
Premier Safety & Environmental is not an asbestos removalist and therefore is able to provide visual Clearance Certificates.
A clearance certificate confirms that the area has been decontaminated and cleaned satisfactorily and is safe to be re-occupied.
After contacting and engaging Premier Safety & Environmental as your asbestos consultant to manage the process, we can act as the independent person, conduct the visual inspection and issue the clearance certificate.
